This is great Gerald! The fingers are a little bright but you might be able to do something in PP to tone them down. I like it anyway though! CJ

Thanks for your comments. Markjay and Rod, I have to agree, the fingers are too bright. I did actually use shadow/highlight; the problem is that the flash makes the fingers appear rather flat in lightness. It would be best to re-shoot the scene; unfortunately, I have mixed the colors after this shot. I got this cube in 1980, when everybody was crazy about it. I never was very good, after a lot of practice, my best times were still half an hour or so. Then I put it aside in its solved state at least 20 years ago until I read the challenge theme. Seems my little grey cells have gotten a bit rusty: Have not found a solution any more (and do not want to cheat), no chance for a new shooting before the end of the challenge. -Gerald

Great subject for the challenge, Gerald but the flash is too strong and not natural.... use a shadow / highlight adjustment in PS to tone down the "flash look" and it we'll all be wondering if you actually got the cube "done" ;-)
Again, great subject for this! Markjay

Did you get one of your kids to get the cube to one colour per side?:-)
Nice idea for the topic Gerald but the lighting has that flash look, I think it would look less harsh with either natural light or tungsten light. Well done mate:-)
