First Snow #3 *

Prealps Switzerland

You get more of the "first snow" as you get higher ;-)
But not less pattern.

Great texture and great repeating elements. Markjay

He may have to be careful wiv your suggestion Neo as I think if the snow was made more white with more contrast then this shot could end up looking like snow on trees instead of a shot of texture......I think:-)

I think you could improve this by white balancing (the snow looks a little blue to my eyes) and brightening the snow using curves or levels. A little more contrast might help bring out the texture.

Good for you Christina as picys give out different feels to different people. I sometimes think there's something wrong wiv a picy that everyone likes:-)

You're more than welcome to Rod! I would appreciate a wiser, more knowledgable pair of eye balls looking at things and telling me how I'm really seeing them! But I'm sticking to my guns on this one. I think it's a fantastic photograph of the pattern that the repetitive trees make with heavy new fallen snow. I really wish I was there right now! And the light is the same as the last one and so nice. But I just don't see texture as much as I see pattern.

I see no trees only texture here.
I'm following you around until you change your way of seeing Christina:-)

This one is better. But remember you're looking for texture, not pattern.
