Thanks CJ, Henry, and RK.

CJ, I think Paul and Brent settled the definition of dilapidated over a couple of beers :)

Interesting photo, dilapidated or not. Henry

Looking at this, I don't think "delapidtaed", but very interesting patterns in the dried mud - I do see Africa! I think of delapidated refering to man-made objects usually like buildings, machines, and furniture, but could be convinced otherwise if someone shows a good example. CJ

Hey, Paul's had more thinking beers than I have I'm sure since it's still morning here Aam- so if he says it's on topic it probably is. Oh yeah, I do see Rod's hairy arse there on the right ;-)
Rod 10-Nov-2006 12:02
Gawd you get boring repeating yourself all the time.
Paul 10-Nov-2006 10:45
I was going to take a photo of Emma with a dried up mudpack on her face and call it Old Bag. She said she'd invite her parents to stay for 6 months...back to the drawing board:>)

I like mud .

Well at least if we're strict we won't end up wiv picy's of mud........dried that is:-)
Wot Paul describes would fit the topic Knackered not Dilapidated. I looked at Websters dicktionary & it said....Don't listen to Paul he's a boofhead.
aam1234 10-Nov-2006 10:04
I'm with Paul about the definition. Also, and as Paul said, if we are strict on dilapidated we will end up with a lot of similar pics (especially cars and houses).

Thank you mates for the comments.
Paul 10-Nov-2006 09:34
You don't have to use the word Dilapidated though. When you're knackered and your shirt is covered in sweat and you've got a 3 day growth on a friday arvo you'd look fairly dilapidated but you wouldn't say "Bugger me, i'm dilapidated" You'd say "Bugger me, i'm knackered" or "Bugger me, i'm XXXXed" etc. etc. If we took the subject strictly we'd have 50 photos of old cars or sheds.
Rod 10-Nov-2006 09:18
Look at the delapidated ground, don't sound right does it!
I will have another look when I've had a few beers to see if I can see wot Paul see's:-)
Paul 10-Nov-2006 09:14
I think this is bang on topic. Dilapidated for me has many meanings and this is something breaking down into its primary form which to me is a form of dilapidation. You know what i mean:>)

The best thing i find about this photo is spotting shapes in the mud, Africa leaps out from the bottom left, my kneecap at the top centre, Rod's hairy arse on the right:>)

Thanks Brent again. It's mud, and when it deteriorates it becomes like this. If you think it's OT let me know and I will remove/replace it.
Brent 10-Nov-2006 02:30
Is that dried mud or paint Aam? If that is paint I wouldn't question whether it is on topic. If it is mud I think mud doesn't deteriorate because it starts out as, well...mud :-)
