Love the scene and composition. Wish the foreground was a bit sharper. - RK

Tom I always give me shots a sharpen as well after downsizing to bring them to the same look as the original.

Brent!
it is still used ( actually it's part of a more complex structure, partially being restored)
as a museum. you'll find some interesting reading through the links about a legendary fountain on the top of the hill :)
Mary Anne!
Amazing landscape and beautiful countryside: the geographical midpoint of Romania, in the heart of the Carpathian mountains.
Rod mate!
the sigma is actually quite fine,I'm happy wiv it most of the time.Stopped down a bit
and used smartly it will deliver sharp picys.the softness in stone work is because of the bloody cs resize/ save for thingy, dust on yer sensors,or too much beer this afternoon. I'll have to talk to Mereana. ;)))
thanks for yer comments

Very nice Tom. That little house appears to be still useable from this perspective, but that rock pile is huge. My guess would be it is a fallen fence or wall, but it must have been a big one. I'm going to come back to this when I have more time to read the link about the fortress- very interesting!

it used to be.
the fortress served as a refugee for the citizens of Rasnov
since the XIVth century.
