Sharon, I've been thinking about this shot. I really like the idea and the compo and color, but there's something that bothers me about it. I wonder if it might benefit from some soft focusing, which would give it a more dreamlike quality and blur some of the noise in the bottom third.

This is a very touching shot, Sharon, eliciting all kinds of nice feelings. I suspect you had to do a lot of cropping and PS-ing, as it doesn't have the sharpness and smoothness I've come to expect from your work. Or were you trying for a different feel here? I really like that old staircase, by the way.
