Really great capture here. Very neat shot.
Looking you used the wide zoom of the lens, brave photog ;)

Good grief, it's one of yours. I thought it looked really interesting from the thumbnail with the light in the smoke, the full size doesn't dissapoint. Cracker.

An excellent shot Rod. This fits the topic right on, on how light can make the image. Well done. jano

Definitely aptly titled! The smoke totally makes this shot. Excellent!

I like this a lot, Rod. The combination of the two kinds of light, fire and sunlight, makes it perfect for this challenge. Very nice! ~Sharon

I was getting desperate as I'm taking some rotten shots lately. Thanks Brent:-)

Is this what it has come to Rod, setting fires to get a good shot? ;-) I hope no serious damage was done and expect if you had felt your home being threatened you wouldn't have been taking pictures. I like this one best in the series for the light streaming down through the smoke.
Paul did mention he was "going bush for a few days". Is this what he meant? That beer bottle in the other image incriminates Paul quite a bit- he has some explaining to do.
Nice work Rod!

Rod, I like this shot the best ! Hmm, I'm working backwards in looking :)
Good timing to be there with the bit of fire and sunlight rays.
