Jano!
"The middle coil shaking Jano, gawd you're lovely, It's bleeding out of focus init"
it's not a good shot, as Rod kindly reminded me, too many things that just don't work here.the out of focus part, the color tones going crazy on the left, the blown highlights, and the dinamyc but rather ugly composition. so I won't touch it, I might just remove it, or replace it If there's time and will to do that.
thanks for your comments
best regards

I really didn't notice the bh when i first looked at this. Probably most of this can be cloned down. My curiously is why the middle coil is shaking??? but... I think it adds that extra "tension" to this shot (that Rod loves) and makes it interesting. Nit pik: I would even out the color on the left of the image and smooth that out. :) Good work!!! jano

The composition doesn't work for me here young Tom. The oof front spring is the problem, not to mention the blown highlights. I thought at first this must be one of Pauls................Yes it's that bad:-):-)

Tom
thanks, Sue Anne!
but I'm still not happy with the result, It's a bit blown on the upper left.
I won't redo it, because this is as good as it gets: it is the spring mechanism of the desk lamp which I've used for lightning.
so, it's a self illuminated subject
:))

Tom
thanks b.c.!
personally I think, that this challenge should be extended to not three but at least five entrys each, since there is pattern all around us.you just have to zoom in, or zoom out from your own perspective to see them.this makes this challenge a huge fun, with really high quality photos. I mean, if you just look at the whole gallery, you don't even know wich image to analyze first.
patterns, patterns, patterns. I'm surprised actually that I haven't seen any image showing ( from a view above, for example :) ) the pattern of urban relations: no yellow cabs one by another in NY... It would be great to see this type of concept, cause there's pattern everywhere. it's like Fitz Lng's Metropolis from 1928.
this techy stuff is the easy part, it is clearly identifiable, it is available to keep shooting till it turns out ok ( this is a desklamp, for example)
best regards

Nice springy coil 'pattern' and the lighting is very nice accenting the gold.

good one, Tom! I'm surprised we haven't seen more mechanical gizmos in the challenge so far... - b.c.
