Interesting photo but I'm not akin to the overblown bh's here. I don't mind bh in some images, and think it can add to an image in some instances, but for me it takes away from this image. It is too much "in my face" so to speak, like blinding. With that said, it is hard to pull this image off w/o bh so using a filter probably makes this more appealing than the original. Hard to say Jam, but I do appreciate your vision, and obviously a good image for the challenge. jano

Interesting post processing technique. Love the colors.

Ah the ole ocean waves & glass ripples filter trick a. I wish you hadn't told me Jammy cos now you have lost half of your marks mate:-)

Thanks for the comments guys..

What you're looking at are lit multicoloured candles on a candle stand.
The original shot was out of focus deliberately to get a bokeh sort of look to the whole photo...

Like streetlights on a rainy night....
Ran it through the ocean waves and glass ripples filter in Photoshop.

It looks like frosted glass dunit it does give it a nice texture around the lights.

Eyecatching. It's a bit like VonnieDees photo though in that i find it more like a graphic image than a photograph.

this is interesting! the repeating yet random placement and variation in colours and sizes is nice. I like the texture too - is it looking through frosted glass? - b.c.
