Thanks CJ, Rosie was very well behaved and only got on the part of the sofa with a towel for her. Yes, I thought the dynamic range would be tougher than it was in this shot- shooting RAW gave me plenty of control thankfully.
Love this shot of Rosie. She looks really relaxed and it was nice of you to let her up on your nice leather sofa for her nap. You did well with the dynamic range in this shot - I usually end up with BHs! CJ

Thanks Sharon and Rod. Rosie is a very sweet whippet dog we have with us for the weekend. I couldn't resist taking a shot of her napping in the sun rays when I saw it. I thought she would move when she heard me approaching, but she stayed just as I found her. The sun was extremely bright Sharon and I don't think I could do very well to dodge in more of her nose on this one. Thanks for your comments!

It almost has a classic feel to it, great work Brent:-)
I laughed right out loud when I saw this! It looks like Rosie is as cooperative a subject as my cats are. When the cats see me pointing the camera at them they tend to stop whatever they were doing and walk right up and stick their noses in the lens. I have soo many blurry shots of them!. So was Rosie evading having her picture taken or was she deeply into a nap? It would be nice if we could see her nose a bit better, do you think you could dodge it a little? A charming portrait nonetheless! ~Sharon
