Maybe, RK, our monitors don’t display this image in the same way: as I see it, saturation cannot be increased any more without making the picture looking unreal. Thanks anyway for having had another look! — db.

DB - I like this better ( would like to see the original as a point of reference). Envy that you can travel to these exotic places....only suggestion would be to increase the saturation a bit.

RK: Safely back home, I checked the image and could—on my monitor—not find anything wrong with the colors. I do wonder, though, whether what you find has anything to do with the fact that I had to compress the image enormously in order to meet the 150K limit? I have, anyway, increased both contrast and saturation a tad to get some of the «punch» you missed (losing, OTOH, some more detail in the process...). Better now?? — db.

Very nice, db! I like the shot looking down past the domes. The rich warm colors are very appealing and the play of light and shadow is very good as well. Good work! ~Sharon

Thanks, RK, for pointing this out to me! I’ll check it when back home in a week from now, as I am on a trip abroad and loaded the image up from a small laptop without a high-quality screen. Thanks! — db.

Like all your 3 entries (irrespective of on/off topic).
I find all three a tad under-exposed(colors seem muted)...dont get me wrong...they are all well framed and sharp...but seems to lack the punch.

Thanks a lot, Gerald, for your friendly commenting; I'm glad you like the image. As far as «on-topicness» goes, jstrong and Rod, please don’t worry: this *is* «A View from Above». — db.

Beautiful light, nice warm colors and very good composition. The houses make the background look a bit too busy. I do not have to decide whether it is on topic, in any case I like this image. -Gerald

This is probably borderline on topic. I get the feeling of looking from above, and slightly down. Taken in early morning or late evening light? jano

I don't think you had to point the camera down too much for this shot Daniel.
