in the Upper Midwestern part of the US.

Thanks Yvonne. I was thinking that showing more of the shoe would require a wider angle and would end up taking the emfasis off the beading and unique puckered constuction of the mocassin and the Ojibwa hand stitching. BTW, I live in N.CA half way between SF and Lake Tahoe, but was in S.CA for 6 years before moving up North. CJ

CJ, I like this one, but agree more of the shoe would be neat. It is absolutely lovely though. Hey, your in Hunington Beach aren't you, can't you run around outside and find that light beam LOL Yvonne

Thanks Sharon and Rod. I took quite a few different shots, with and without the Indian flute, and with the mocassin at different angles and this composition ending up looking the best. I don't have time for a reshoot before the end of the challenge, but I will try this composition with a different lens to see what it will look like and get more beading in the shot. I think it will go with the old bow and arrow shot from the DOF challenge. And yes, this is natural window light. I almost never use flash or artificial light as I really need to get a good lighting setup! :-) CJ

Yes I would like to see the composition around the beads, bugger the flute off or make it an out of focus background. Nicely lit shot Carole:-)

I like the nice soft light in this, CJ. Is it window light? I kind of wish there was more of the beading in the image, with the moccasin on more of a diagonal. That would mean less flute but I think that would be okay as the subject is the moccasin anyway. Nice work! ~Sharon
