Thanks Armin and Athos. I really liked the light streaming in through the window and the color of the boots against the carpet. But here's a tip - don't ever buy dark carpet - it shows everything - LOL! CJ

I toned down the highlights on the chest but am still thinking about replacing it with the B/W version. CJ

Me likes the B & W version more but, this one brings out the texture of the boots.

I like this shot a lot, CJ, but when I opened the b&w version found I was really attracted to that version even more. Good work either way, the lighting is especially nice. ~Sharon

I like this shot the best with the saw dust, but I would just clone or burn in that bright highlight on the leg of the chest as it does seem to draw the eye a bit. I find that found shots always seem better than when I try & set them up.

Forgot to mention - the boots are pretty much as found on the floor, sawdust and all, where my husband sat on the antique ceder chest in the background. I debated about cleaning everything up for the shot but thought it was a little more realistic to shoot it as is. CJ

Thanks all for the comments. I've done a few different versions of the picture as I wasn't sure whether I liked the sawdust on the floor or not. Here are the links to the cleaned up version and a B/W one too. What do you think?

Great lighting on the boots CJ. If me, I would clone out the distracting light in the background and whatever that is at the top of the image. I like the way the strings of the boots are tumbled like that. jano
