very creative idea, Brent. had me really wondering what it was before your explanation! I agree it would have been better without the strange colour cast on the arm. - b.c.

Thanks much guys. I simply stood on my porch at night and smeared a view of the city lights with a long exposure and my arm in the foreground moving along with the camera. That was most of it along with a little embellishing thanks to Photoshop.

It's fascinating. What is it? It looks like a scarf coming undone.

This does work very well. It's a goodun Brent:-)

Ah well, our dinner guests stayed too late to allow a re-shoot on this, but I did alter the color some where my arm looks a little less gangrenous :-) Thanks for the input ladies.

I love the lights but like Jano I am not too sure about your green arm! I look forward to what else you might do with this if you have the time to experiment some more. ~Sharon

Heh heh, my skin is green because the lights were making me feel ill Jano ;-) Actually my arm is being illuminated by our green glass porch light. I don't mind so much looking like the hulk here, but this was actually meant to be a test shot to see if my "theory" would work. It did work pretty well I think, but I hope to re-shoot it better tonight if our dinner guests don't mind me slipping out front for a spell after dark. Thanks for your comment.

Great shot Brent! The sharpness and colors are more than excellent here!!! Love the way you separated the strands from the blur of your hand. I think it would be even more pleasing if the color of your arm was not that was the Hulk :) Any particular reason it is green? jano
