2006 International Fireworks Contest in Vancouver, B.C. This is the beginning of China's entry. I panned the camera as the fireworks were shot off.

Very creative idea, Ann. I have never seen a panned fireworks shot before. The result is simply terrific. -Gerald

I like your idea Sharon. Here is the result. It focuses the eye on the fireworks instead of pulling it to the water. Thanks, Ann

cool effect, I would not have thought of panning a fireworks shot. I couldn't make it to the first 3 nights of the competition this year, but will hopefully make it to the finale tomorrow night :) - b.c.

Great idea, Ann! I will have to try panning next time, it is an exciting look. I am so jealous that you have an International Fireworks contest, what an opportunity for great shots! I find the reflections in the water a bit distracting and wonder if cropping the water out might make the image stronger? ~Sharon
