Great job, as usual Techo!!! I wouldn't expect any less! You are mastering the process of doing "lady bug macros" -Cat

Thanks again Aam, and CJ :)

Yes, I took the plant indoors with the ladybug on it. Best way to handle them. Then of course let it go back outside. I used a regular table lamp with a piece of paper covering it for diffusion. If I had an external flash perhaps I could've tried to take this outside but on the other hand do like how simple the black background is here, it also makes the plant and subject pop and there's no PP involved.

Their are pros and cons of taking pics outside and inside. So far my shots have all been outside in their natural environment. The big con of shooting outside is if there's even a slight breeze out. It makes the leaves and branches bob in the wind, making it really hard to manually focus. Coming in this close automatic focus isn't of much use. But the overall lighting might be more pleasing outside. I wanted to go for a different effect and try something new, and I do like the warmer colors here. I've added the exif data to photo comments above, it applies to all three of the photos I've posted. All of them aren't cropped much, if at all, I did cool the colors down a bit. This one was just slightly cropped, here's a link to a non cropped, just resized but slightly sharpened one:http://k.1asphost.com/TechoEP/Untitled-2-resize_sharp_only.htm

Nice ladybug shots Techo! I am very interested in getting this lens but worried about lighting the subjects. Was this done with a separate flash unit, indoor available light or natural light? It looks good and the leaves are lit too. Love your macros! :-) CJ
