I think this is a new edit/shot. If I recall correctly this is so much better! The flowers really come to life this time. I wish I could still see the old one to compare though...

Like the composition. Feel that the picture will have more impact if the bucket of sun (flowers) were not in the shade.

I too, like the one with the barn in the bg, but this is nice too :)

I would have thought a DOF effect is a picy that shows a line of in focus subject matter with OOF in front & behind. This is a normal close up shot & it doesn't show us the whole DOF. We can't see how narrow or wide the DOF is. So one of your two shots is off topic:-)

I'm going out to plant some sunflower seeds tomorrow :) jano

Thanks all.
Rod, I just shot what I found. It was not setup, so I had no control over the bucket that was used. The flowers were in filtered shade from a tree above, this is why the background is brighter. I think it adds to the DOF effect.

I also need a translation of **f t*pic.

Great colours on the flowers but the manky bucket & bright distracting background don't help this shot for me..................................Plus it's **f t*pic init wiv no DOF effect. Good onya Lee:-)

Great shot, Lee. It belongs on a calendar or greeting card.
