Sydney

The Queen Victoria Building on George Street Sydney. A temple to shopping. I found a nice quiet spot on a wet, cold, winters day.

I think you chose a nice point of view for this one. Yvonne

Paul,
The building just looked like it was built before color film was invented. Oh well.

What a great old building! I like the arches and pillars, the floor and that great railing too. CJ

I agree with Nicola..that i've looked at this ....and can't quite come up with a comment on "why" i like it. Just beautiful I guess. I would have tried a different angle as the light fixture kinda puts me off. jano

Nice angle Paul, and great shot. There is something special in it, but I cannot say what. Maybe it is the viewpoint or the ambivalence of the architecture: if you darken the picture it looks a bit like a church. Best, Nicola.

The QVB is a fabulous building with hoards of shoppers all over the place but i really liked this quiet spot by the stairs. Quiet of course as all the lazy sods use the escalators.

Well seen Paul, I like the way the arches and columns frame the scene. Rich

The archways work really well a. Look how small the columns are, up here they're at least 6' tall.

Wow, looks like a beautiful building Paul. Nice find.
