This is not ice, actually. It is more like a thick translucent crust, the kind you get when flowing water sits idle for a while and algae and such start growing underneath. The stream part is guessed correctly! -Cat

Hey Cat - lovely image - took me awhile to figure out that this is ice on a stream with a reflection??? Love the colors. The image also needs a date as it isn't showing either in your EXIF. jano
