Thanks Mark, there were bits of web around & I tried to clone some bits out.

Nice macro, Rod. The flower color stands out well against the background... you've isolated your subject nicely. Not sure what those 4 or 5 little white lines are, spider webs? Markjay

Thanks Brent a lower Iso would have made it easier to post process.

This is nice Rod, it appears as though that bud has a small flame inside lighting it up and I like your compostion. Well seen.
Rod 28-May-2006 06:59
Thanks mate:-)
Paul 28-May-2006 06:22
It's significantly better now Rod, the main focal poitn for me is now that strip of red and the unformed leaf hardly registers. Good one.
Rod 28-May-2006 05:51
:-) Yes it is, I think it must be time for your beauty sleep & it's almost time for our afternoon nap:-) See ya to morrow:-)

I think we are here at the same time but at different times... lovely isn't it? jano

I'm little too Rod... only 5' :) it's hard for us munchkins to do propery perspectives. ok.....now you are using some PS... :) much better. I like. jano
Rod 28-May-2006 05:43
I've brought out the light down the front of the flower & darkened Pauls offending leaf. Howzat:-)
Rod 28-May-2006 05:31
Geez I'm only little Jano:-) But I thought the light coming through down the front of the bud would have worked a bit better, its really not bright enough isit.
janewigginsphotography28-May-2006 04:26
I can see the focal point but it is at the very tipitpity tip of the bud.... Perhaps if you had taken a perspective of a higher ground Rod? Or.... you should have zoomed in closer for a more detailed perspective - but still I think a higher perspective is needed here. jano

I might try & burn it in a bit but it doesn't look nearly so bright on a CRT:-)
Paul 27-May-2006 08:12
Lovely bokeh eh? The problem here is my eyes get drawn as the main focal point to that brighter out of focus unformed leaf foremost rather than the Hibiscus about to open.
Nice tones though.

Thanks RK:-)

This is really well done...like the subtle lighting of the focal point. - RK
