Very nice shot. If the nose was in focus, it would be perfect. dave.

Do Boa's have teeth Guest?

Great shot! The detail of the skin textures is superb and the eyes are just amazing.
But I must agree with the comment on the nose being in focus... I think the DOF is just the right size for the nose and the eyes to be in it if it was just a litle bit to the front. It would make your eyes folow from the nose to the eyes of the snake, because now my eyes are drawn towards the tip of the head (I hope I make sence )

p.s. @ Gerald, no this boa is too small to choke a man, but it can pack a strong bite because of the lenght of the teeth :)

Glad I'm not a mouse...
This guy's stare is magnetic. Excellent shot!

Thanks, Jano, Paul, David, Mary Anne, RK, Rod and Reddi. Sorry for causing confusion with the title, Reddi. I wish this was a wildlife shot (or better not? This python is not poisonous and not too big but I wonder whether it would be strong enough to choke a man.) -Gerald

Well done Gerald this is great mate:-) The side lighting creating a great skin texture & some mood. I don't mind the oof nose as the focal point for me is the texture on its bonce:-) Goodun Gerald:-)

I love how the shallow dof focuses the eye on the snakes eyes. Captures the texture of the skin very well too. Another fantastic entry Gerald.

David.
