Oh err...I'm stupid. ;)

The "Dallas" reference was because of your initials - the main character in an old TV series called "Dallas", was J.R. - Sorry for the poor joke! The colors are very vibrant - it's a beautiful flower. :-) CJ

I do have bee shots, but I kept getting bee behind. Those bees are not the most cooperative of models. And seeing as that I had about 15 minutes to get the shot and get back to class I just chose the sharpest image. I like the simplicity of the shot. There were several other insect-themed flower shots. This flower stands alone. I don't feel like it "needed" any other points of interest. Also...does it make it better if it was really shot in the tiny town of Springtown rather than Ft Worth?

Thanks for all your comments! :)

Stunning colours JR! A really vibrant shot that almost shimmers at you. Well done.

Beautiful colors JR - this should be from "Dallas" though! :-) I like the idea here but maybe you could take this with a bee on it for some added interest. I have this lens and know it does a great job on flowers and insects so I'd like to see another version of this if you have time. :-) CJ
