Oh no I missed a chance at a controversy at the mini then:-) I hadn't paid the rent at me picy site & couldn't enter anything, all paid up now & I'm back in business:-)

Tradescant... Regarding the lighting on the leaves... No flash used, that is the setting sun behind the leaves.

Ric.... Yes, the frame is a Photoshop action which I picked up somewhere on the net some time ago... Can't remember where.... I'll try and find the source for you.

Well Rod , I understand what you are saying.... But I look at it this way....
A beautiful woman with makeup on is still a beautiful woman !

P.S. - Saw some nice framed winning photos in the CTF mini-challenge :-)

Normally Ric the unworthy picys get frames to make them look worthy & a sig to make em look professional. Although no professional I’ve seen would sign the front of a picy. It’s a real stretch trying to see on a backlit computer screen what will look good on a real wall. I've found that visitors to my house either say nice frames & don't comment on the picys & others don't mention the frames but say nice picys. It's the picy that's importent not the frame, for here & for home:-)

I sort of agree with you Rod - about posting framed piccies in this gallery - but the frame Richard has used is pretty close to how I would frame a photo so it's a good way to see how the finished article would look! I haven't taken one worthy of framing yet - but maybe one day I'll get lucky :o)

Ric why would you want to put silly frames on your picys? They look bleeding daft mate.

Beautiful colors.

Beautiful photo and nice frame too - is this a Photoshop action? If so, where might I find it? :o)

Richrad - same comment from me as for onefo your other entries. Love the colours on this one. A quesiton too - did you use any flash on this to illuminate the leaves in the foregroundon the ground? Or is is natural lighting?

David.

Hi Richard! :)
Long time no see. So glad to see your posts here.
Really like the trio, but slightly favor this shot more than the others. With the plethora of different colored leaves coloring the ground to the blue hues of the sky and the overall composition of the shot with the trees leading the eye nicely around the shot.
