This is very interesting, anyone out for a morning jog or stroll could put themselves in this scene. Nicely done.

Nice (morning?) light and good composition

Ok CJ.... see if this crop of the two orange barrels does the thirds rule. I never could get the thirds rules down, I just shoot what looks good to me. It's nice we can do all this pp work. Gone are the days of just accepting what comes back on film. ;)

Thanks Armin... Spring comes before Summer here so there are lots ready to excercise after a hard long WInter indoors. :)

Great idea Sue Anne! I know you have cropped this already but I think I would have liked to see it cropped a little differently by eliminating the 2 orange and white barrels on the right as they are a little distracting to my eye. This would put your runner in the right third of the picture. Just a thought! :-) CJ

Thanks Brent....

This is a crop of my 'original' picture so more cropping would lose some of the points of interest?

Good for you to start jogging again. ;)

I agree these were tough shooting conditions, but you did well with what you had. I crop might not be a bad idea though. This reminded me I have to grab a new pair of running shoes today and start getting back into shape myself. Ugh!

Thank you Britt.

Funny you should say the holes needs to be filled in. The township only does 'that' and does not pave the whole road. Always looks like a patched up job. ;)
Britt 16-May-2006 13:20
I think it's the construction zones that show this to be a springtime shot. The holes in the road from winter needing to be filled in. Nice shot.

Thanks Rod.... it was one of our regular walkers on our road, and was taking the shot for my hubby ;)

Terrific subject matter Sue Anne, I'm not too bothered about the sky as it gives the impression of a bright healthy day ahead. You know like a corn flakes ad:-)

This is a tough shooting condition...from the dark shadows in the upper left to blown sky in upper right. Just a suggestion...would do a tight crop on the jogger with the road in front.
