I know, a bit post work applied, but not very much desaturation of the bg was necessary

Bugger off Rod....why do pretty shots annoy you so much? Hehehe I love it Armin!
Rod 02-May-2006 10:59
Why waste petrol in a mower when we have Photoshop:-)
Why take picys when we have Photoshop:-)

Composed to my liking? Well, would have loved to, but I had forgotten my lawn mowing machine to get rid of the green :o)

Why didn't you see this when you took the shot? You could have then composed the shot to your liking instead of developing cliche post processing techniques.
Didn't you like this in all B&W? At least then it would look like a real picy:-)

Well, I'm not the biggest fan of the post thing as well, but in this case there was too much green in the upper right corner for my taste, it distracted they eye...a tighter crop would imho result in too much bold stone without depths...hm...what am I trying to explain here, I do not understand it either :)

Great idea but bugger me i can't get into this post processing lark.
Rod 30-Apr-2006 23:27
Why was de saturation necessary Armin? I would imagine the flower on stone would show up ok, & be a proper picy.

Beatiful. Great job with the PP. I like it! I can see how the title relates to the image, one would usually expect a rose in such a shot. The tulip, thus the title.
