I thought that the fact that this was captured at Two-Thirty.... what coincidence! =D

This is a cool shot border or no, But we do need one word titles don't we? Two-thirty maybe LOL Yvonne

Seems as though you can over react delhi mate, you could have just made the white border a lot thinner & a bit less white.

Yep, I like the black border much better. A good compromise, whilst still keeping the border. (*) Lets not forget about the one word Titling rule ;)

Wot do you think delhi?:-)

There is an answer Carole that will satisfy you & me. Make the border off white eliminating the glare & distraction & isolating the picy from the background if it's felt that it's needed. The brain will see the off white as white so we're all happy.
Some people seem to think that borders & frames make their shots look professional, they even put sigs on em. Try putting your shots on the agency sites for them to sell for you with a border & sig on, or heaven forbid in a frame:-)

While this white border might be a tad big here, I find B&W pictures in these challenges look better to my eyes with a bit of a border because of the dark background of the stylesheet. The greys seem to run into this background and I think it takes away from the image as there isn't any contrast between the picture and the background. There doesn't seem to be that problem with color shots generally. The thumbprints have a white line around the pictures which looks good to me but the stylesheet for the individual pictures does not. So we will continue to disagree on this one Rod! :-) CJ

Flawed logic me Carole. If you think white borders are fine because that's what we do at home then we need to put a backlight behind them on the wall at home to give the same comparison. White borders tend to glow on these monitors & compete with the picy. They don't at home:-)

A plain white border like this on a shot does not bother me either because if you were to frame a B&W shot you'd probably put a white mat around it anyway. I like the idea of this shot and it's right on topic but maybe cropping off the left up to the sundial and a little off the bottom would look a little better. The B&W conversion looks good too - how do you do yours? :-) CJ

Rod has a hang-up about borders. That's because he borders on crazy! lol
Seriously, the border could be a shade of grey instead of white but not bothersome for me. Markjay

Well I think it is.

It is
Rod 28-Apr-2006 11:58
The border is too bright for the picy mate.
