Nice swapo ;)
This is also my fave of the Tern photos posted. I do like the 3rd image in the series (posted below, going from top to bottom) but find the sharpening halos ruin it some.

P.S.
please folks, if you have a totally new image to post, please re-post it as new entry and not replace an existing one. Move the old one to Pending if it has comments and post the new one.

CJ, Thank you for the encouragement/feedback and pointing out the sensor dust. I need to clean my monitor before cleaning the sensor...

I just noticed what looks like a dust spot on your sensor RK, below the Tern's tail, which you could clone out.(OT- I need to clean my sensor too and am as nervous as a cat as I've never done it before!) You should frame this one, hang it on your wall and enter it into contests, or submit it to birding magazines! :-) CJ

I really like this shot - my favorite of all your Tern shots! :-) CJ

Thanks Rod and CJ. Replaced the tern.

I like that first shot below too RK. The pose, composition, sharpness and the light shining through the feathers is really nice! :-) CJ

The first shot below is the one I like RK, it makes the posted bird look a little ungainly & I really like the details, & funny enough the whitish background. I find birds impossible to get a picy of so you're doing great Mate:-)

Thanks Techo, Rod and CJ.
Rod - if I crop the shot tighter, you could see the face cleary (the eyes seem to blend with the black top). Like the crop the way it is (no cropping). The reason I picked this over others in the series ...is the background and the bright lines of the bird (almost like performing ballet in mid-air). Following are some more from the series...

Beautiful tern - great composition, contrast and sharpness - love it! :-) CJ

I think we need to see the birds face a lot better to make this a decent bird shot. The colour accented border helps to cover for this deficiency though:-)

Gee, you sure are fast, RK :)

Splenid start to challenge. The Tern sure does have very nice lines in flight.
