Mary Anne - this is part of a series of panning shots. Put the camera in AI-Servo mode...locked the birds in focus and took about 20 shots as they were flying around a pond in search of food/fish.
Post-Processing: Cropped a bit, increased contrast and USM.

Very impressive. I love the limited colors, the capture of the birds, and that wonderful OOF background. Did you PS to get that effect, or is this something you can do with this lens?
