This has happened to me on some landscapes where I thought the bluish distance would add a nice other layer to the shot, but on the computer the blue distance seemed hard (almost simulates noise) & that's what I think I'm seeing here. Mine didn't look as good as this though.
Rod, I kind of liked the blue hazy look at the top, but as I study it now, maybe it's too light and thus distracting from the main subject of the sheep. I'll have to try it a couple of other ways. Thanks for your suggestion. Thanks for your comment as well, Jano.

PS. The top background looks great in the thumbnail so maybe blurring it might help.

Lovely lighting but the top distance background doesn't help this shot.
