I like this a lot, Lee, especially the way the dominos seem to be spilling out of the borders. Good work! ~Sharon

:-) hehe.

I am still working on that turning the camera on and off thing myself so anything after that just blows me away :-)
Rod 21-Mar-2006 10:50
You're correct Neo, some knowledge is required for a shot like this of which turning on the camera would be the hardest part:-)
I'm mainly just having some fun Neo, although I really dislike these sort of shots, especially tarted up with lines & borders.

I don't know Rod it looks to me like you need to know something about "lighting" and "exposure" to take a shot as good as this. Sounds like photography to me :-)
Rod 17-Mar-2006 09:25
Aaammm if you want to take still lifes of this sort then just forget everything you have learned about photography:-)

thanks AAM1234,

Nothing really special. Just a lot of light and a flash. Used a tripod. Try to avoid direct light to not get glare. In photoshop just use levels to make everything a strong black and white.

I love your "still life" Lee, so much so that it would be kind if you can tell us how do you capture those beautiful stills. Maybe we can start a new thread about your technique. What do you say?
Guest 16-Mar-2006 17:34
Thanks Rod. I guess, I will not be recieving a print request from you. LOL.

Wot can one say Lee? Do I talk about this as a photo or a graphic? A photo would have some sort of mood or feel for it to be successful, but a graphic needs no feel at all to work just bung a border on & a thin line & bingo the praises start flowing.
As a picy this has no appeal at all, as a graphic it's quite nice if a use can be found for it.
