Lee: you are right, just a man looking at the flag will make a powerful image. This will be also a very different image which should have been taken with a different lens at a different focal distance. I shall definitely try to follow you suggestion next time I shall find them.
CJ: I understand your point too. I was not going after a kind of a group portrait though, I want to place them in a street context which, inevitably, will bring distracting elements

This is really an interesting photo - lots to look at - pieces of red here and there. I guess you could crop it, but I like it as is. jano

I like this - Reminds me of when I was in Moscow! I think a crop would make this a stronger image too. I think just cropping out the stool on the left and up to the elbow of the guy on the right which would then get rid of the brightness in the background. CJ

I almost want to say I would crop everything out except the man looking at the flag with the red building behind. Just a thought.
