Many thanks, Rod and CJ

Great shot Alexeig the buoy is placed just right for this topic. Lovely looking shot.

Even though there isn't much red in this picture, the composition, lighting, and the neutrality of the other colors draw the eye to the buoy - I like it :-)

Techo: No problem, I have a lot of red stuff on my HD
Armin: You have said what I have thought ;-))) Oh where, where my feminine side which every modern man should have?

Sorry Alexeig, it's a fine photo but not the one I had in mind for the Red challenge.
I see little hints of pure Red in the pic but if the whole flower was Red that would be a whole other story.

Exactely, men only understand main colors, and not all these subtle differences women always talk about...LOL...sorry, could not resist! :o)
Cheers, Armin

Looks like a fuschia red to me:-) I don't think we have off topic when a bloke runs the challenge, its only the girls that put us in pending:-)

OK, I thought that the pink is a shade of red but maybe I am wrong. So tell me Techo if this is on topic. If not, I shall withdraw the image.

It's a very pretty kind of floral abstract. Though I too find this one more of fuschia/pink than red.

Good point, Rod and CJ. I have placed a bit softer version too, just hit Next. Which one is better?
Guest 02-Mar-2006 17:23
They look pink on my monitor. Nice shot.
CJ in CA02-Mar-2006 15:09
I agree with Rod. Beautiful flowers, nice composition and DOF but maybe PPing would tone down the lighting a little. CJ

I would love to see this with softer lighting. It has the same sort of effect as if you used a flash. A bit on the harsh side. Still looks very good though mate.
