shutterspeed was 1/30, Aperature 3.2, continuous shooting mode. Light on the left, window light from the right with the window slightly open to swirl the smoke. I updated the image - thanks for the comments! Your image was an inspiration.

cool! :) like how you captured the shape of the smoke, pretty sharp! (*)if I may suggest a few minor touchups, using the PS tools... sharpen the sticks a little and use the blur tool to blur some of the color noise blotchy spots in the smoke. Great job overall, not an easy one to shoot. Can you please share the shutter speed and lighting setup? Thanks so much. -Techo :)
