I attempted to lighten up the needle and cropped off some on the right per the original artist's suggestion.

I'm flattered to find people using my photos as inspiration. I think this one is well done. One critical comment I have is that I think the crop is a bit too long for my taste. Maybe try reducing the aspect ratio and see how that looks? Also, the needle appears black, and it blends with the backdrop... I guess thats a matter of personal preference as well.
