This is great Britt - the cardinal almost seems lit by the sunlight and I like the little leaves as well that compliment his color. There are a few tiny spots on the background that probably should be cloned out - otherwise, fantastic :) jano

Thanks Canoneer and CJ. And Rod thanks, I am beginning to feel a bit better and will probably stay on the right side of the grass for now. :)

Beautiful picture! I love the red cardinal against the gray and white branches and snow - it really draws the eye. Nice composition too :-) CJ

Who posted that rumor Rod? I'm feeling like I'm at death's door. I'm ready to go back to bed now. Hopefully I will be able to get some pictures taken for this challenge, but at this rate, I doubt it. :( Thanks for the comments anyway.

I like this better than the previous version, Britt. Except for the blue diagonal smack in the middle of the composition. if you could desaturate just that or, better yet, clone it out all together I think it would allow us to concentrate on that sweet bright bird! It's a lovely shot! ~Sharon

Any bit of colour for us in the Northern Hemisphere is welcome at this time of year!
I like it Britt. :-)

Not a whole lot of color to look at now is there, crabby patty? Now bugger off, Mister I-Live-In-The-Land-Where-It's-Green-and-Sunny-All-Year-Round! :)~ ~Britt

I think you posted this just to annoy me:-) Have you thought of just de-saturating just enough so there's still some subtle colour left in the surroundings? I think that would be more pleasent to look at & sort of natural................& like a photo.
Graphic designers & commercial artists have a lot to answer for:-)
