I agree with everyone's comments on how this draws you in - I want to walk to that distant point - has a very lush and fresh look about it. Nicely framed from start to end. Beautiful Rod. jano

Yes Canon I PP all me shots, I can never remember wot I've done on any particular shot though I just work on them until I think they will attract the most votes........I mean until I like them:-)
I don't know how to do layers & masks or other PS magic so I just work on the desktop in PS & use the tools on the left floating menu. I normally start off by with a USM of 100--point3--0 Then I will burn & or dodge normally darken or lighten a bit with the curves tool & sometimes use the saturation tool to add or remove some colour intensity. Then I resize for the net & give it another sharpen of 100--point3—0.
Canon suggest a sharpening of about 300—point3—0 on the average. I shoot on parameter 2 which has a less in camera processing than parameter 1

Gawd Sue Anne don't even joke like that it nearly made me have one of me turns...............I have to sit down,.............hang on, I'm already sitting down..then I will stand up:-)
It's funny with woods init, like you say they can be so romantic looking, or sinister depending on the light & our mindset at the time.

Some neat aussie woods Rod, I feel like it's the enchanted woods, though not sure whats around the corner ;) Nice framing done with the tree ... now some shadow drop frames would add the finished touch :) (just kidding)

Thanks all:-) & remember all great art grows with time. This should look awesome after I'm dead & gone, I reckon the missus could sell it then for about $15.............$US that is:-)

It "grows" on you, I want to go further in to see more. :-)

Agreed. I think the sharpness of the trees in the distance really draw you in.

First impressions: did not grab my interest...maybe lack of focal point.
But, this picture grows on me (just like the undergrowth). Exposure is spot on...the greens come thru really lush.

reminds me of a holiday view in the early morning, d***, I could easily add so many shots of wood, forests and trees...hmpf..ok, I will say it, although it is realy hurting me: I really like this shot a lot ...but please do not quote me...I'm nearly off again. :)

Rod, I really like this, the woods look very mysterious despite being sunny and I want to wander down in there and see where it goes. ~Sharon
