Thanks so much Steve. I am proud of this one, as is my family. They can see this one in my eyes and are encouraging me to get out as much as I can. I hope to do much more now that I have my new lens. :)

This photo still brings shivers up my spine, without going into details I can very much under stand an outlook like this! You convey the emotion so well. Just brilliant and .... go get the world! - Steve (photodreams)

The somber mood is conveyed very well. Nicely shot, there is nothing I would change about the photo. Well here's to seeing more fun shots from Britt :)

thanks for the comments aam...actually my face is REALLY THAT pale and the "towel" is my long hippie sleeve hanging over my hand. Just for reference. LOL

At first, the blown highlights on the face bothered me a bit. But when I thought about it, they are perfect. They say how bright the outside world is, yet the poor woman can't enjoy it.

Another point if I may, the way she is holding the towel (?) is really genuine --- aam1234

Thanks Yvonne for the comment....and Rod, thank you as well - for being a nice boy. :) - Britt

It's not easy to convey an emotion in a set up shot but you have for sure here. I don't know if you have already cropped this or not but as I see it here it works for me as I don't think there's any need to focus on any part of you, as the whole is what conveys the feeling. Luv it & you Britt:-)

Thank you Blademeister for commenting!
Mary Anne, I appreciate your comment as well and it's nice meeting nice people like you in this challenge. It has brought a new goal for my life to shoot more!
jvigliotta - Thanks for the comment to you as well. I did try this in black and white and I didn't like the looks of it. I will see what I can do about cropping a bit off the top. Thanks to all who've suggested this. I cropped it this way because I thought the blackness of the area behind my head was a good contrast to the light coming in from the outside or where I would rather be everyday. Again thanks for the suggestions!

I must say first off, I am sucker for emotional shots. This one is there. The strong lighting and the close crop really drive the point home for me. I may be tempted to do do things, crop closer on the top, this will bring more emphasis to the eyes, and see how it looks overall in black and white.
Regards - j.vigliotta

I have to say thank you to all who've posted a comment for this. I guess the look on my face looks real because this pose isn't a stretch for me. I have looked longingly out the window many, many days. Hopefully I can get my health back on track this year and have the freedom to go out more. Thanks again to all ~ it means a lot when I DO get a comment. - Britt
