This is the shot, I thought about, but would not have been able to shoot like this! Perfect!
Cheers, Armin

Abs, as so many before me have said - what an excellent shot. While I might give this one high scores for technical excellence and composition - the creativity of this is outstanding.

Abs, This is really cool! What an eye you have for the out of ordinary views. I am learning from that!!! Yvonne

Excellent. It reminds of photos of cars you sometimes see to emphasise their aerodynamics.

Techo, I like the asymmetry of the shot. Actually, the darker bottom right quarter provides a balance for the sun being to the left of the hourglass, I think.

Thank you Mary Anne, Britt and Techo. i am really glad to receive such a positive response for this photo :) -Abstract

A Beautiful shot! (*) a pitty that in the bottom right portion the hourglass blends in to the dark a bit too early, but then again the lack of the symmetry is somewhat refreshing.

-Techo :)

Email me with what the next challenge is going to be so I can start my brain up NOW! Hehehe This is a winner for sure!

Beautiful photo, Abs. The entire image has a wonderful smooth liquid (dripping) feel to it.

Thank you Alex, Brent and Shu. i like the fading effect on the right too. imo that imbalance (compared to bright sun on the left) in the shot plays an important role to make this a photograph instead of a graphic. thanks for seeing/mentioning that subtle point. -Abstract

Gorgeous, Abs! I struggle with my imigination to find a unique image like this, but, in the meantime, YOU shoot and enter this beauty! I like the way the right-hand side of the glass fades to make the image more artistic and, of course, the sunset glow is beautiful. The title is perfect, too. shu
Brent 29-Dec-2005 17:04
A very pretty and creative image- well done.
alex 29-Dec-2005 16:42
This is a stuning image. Great title.

Thank you Britt, Sharon, Jano, Lee. the sky has been very helpful for photography lately. i am glad i was able to convey 'time' through the photograph. -Abstract

Holy Mackeral! Just beautiful. Even if I did have an hourglass, we haven't seen the sun in over a month so this would have never worked for me anyway. Good to see it worked for you Abs :) jano

This is really beautiful and says "time" to me perfectly well without an explaining title. Well done! ~Sharon
Britt 29-Dec-2005 05:04
Of course just today I had an idea for an hourglass shot. Beaten again and I am glad yours came up first as I don't see how I could possibly compete with this. Very nice.
