I like this bg much better as it really makes the focal point pop. Nice job.

Thanks everyone. I originally put shaped wrinkles in the background on purpose. With a couple of you not sure about the wrinkles I went ahead and updated the image. It still works for me and maybe will work better for others. I appreciate the feedback.
Ohhhh Thyme (you probably beat me to this :) I agree with Britt on the background - you could probably jsut blur it a little to get the creases out although they don't bother me hugely - There is also some slight discoloration on your thumb and nail. I like it! jano

Excellent idea Brent. Is there a way to burn or clone the bg so it doesn't have the wrinkled effect? I think it would accentuate your subject much nicer if you had a totally black bg.
