Ghosts of the Past (*)

GP Site

This reflection caught my eye as we were walking around the old Georgia Pacific Mill site. It was actually us tourists reflected in the window but it made me think of all the workers who had worked here over the many years that the plant operated. Actually there are a couple of buildings still used by GP but it still seems very deserted compared to its early days as a thriving mill.

Much better without the hinge thing.

I agree that looks much better - the focus is now more on the window. Nice adjust. :)

Thanks for the comments. I also wasn't sure about the thingee on the left. Here it is without. I think this is better. Ann C

Ann, this is a nice image. When I first saw it, I thought maybe it was the workers clocking out or waiting for lunch or something. The title kind of threw me until I read your description.

This has a wonderfully melancholy feel to it. Th epeeling paint on the window frame and the fact you can't see any of the faces add to it as do the muted colours. I might have tried cropping out the hinge (?) on the laft hand side as I feel this pulls the eye away a little from the window itself.
