MaryAnne, this is how I feel everytime I have to grab on to one of these babies! Having a daily struggle with dizziness anyway, this one affects me. Nice capture! ~Britt

Thank you both. I was trying to make the tilt work with the subject, so I'm glad you feel that's happening here.

The tilt here really adds to the picture, unlike many other entries. A great POV, Mary Anne.

Great angle and composition to this shot. The more I look at it the dizzier I feel, I must ease off the booze. - alexoki

I think half the fun of photography is getting shots in not allowed places. I always tell em I'm a retired terrorist & no longer dangerous, & to bugger off of course:-)

Our cinema complex is actually inside the shopping mall so I tend to 'assume' they all are lol

Nice idea, and I like how you framed it- very well done.

Just a bit of explanation for those of you who thought I was shooting at the mall. This is actually inside a 16-theater complex in the middle of a weekday afternoon when hardly anyone was there. I thought the tilt sort of emphasized the height and the dizzy feeling people sometimes get when going up or down these things. Thank you all for your comments.

Very nice, Mary Anne! A thoughtful take on a tilted shot. Escalators have always made me nervous and this shot sort of sums up that feeling for me. ~Sharon

Well done Mary Anne this really works well with the tilt enhancing the shot no end. Great work.

Hi Mary Anne, I really like this photo. I cant critique you because I'm so new to all this myself but your photo really caught my eye. I am too scared to take my camera to the mall but I hope to one day!

Noooo I haven't yet braved taking my cam to the local mall to take photos.... What I meant was that I thought a escalator shot would be cool if someone tried it and you did! I think what I especially like, and this may be wrong with my thinking, is the lack of any ppl - kinda nice for a mall this time of year huh? jano

Thank you, Jano. But if you're still thinking of an escalator shot, go for it. I find it interesting to see the different takes people can have on the same subject.

So wierd as I was just thinking that an escalator shot would be nice... and this is. I like the way you captured the up and down, side by side - as in some places you don't see those too often. Great job. jano
