I couldn't say it to a lady Britt:-)

I think I like the other one better - but I like this one better than the other things you have down below. Go ahead, say it...... ~Britt

Thanks Techo & RK:-) I luv bokeh or blurred backgrounds as I call it, I've never heard of bokeh before coming to DPreview. That's one of the reasons I luv the SLR & the 55mm-200mm is quite good for bokeh.

Rod, like this one too. Excellent alternating sharp and shallow lines. Now...for the bokeh...like it very much...thought you are not the bokeh kind of person. Would replace your other palm leaf shot with the pond shot.

doh! sorry I meant this one had the best first impression

Really nice shot. I saw the other and don't remember it well but do know that one had the best first impression. Nice lines, nicely lit and composed.

Great job Rod.

Thanks all. The background Paul is the sunlight on the trees along the fence. The blurry background is wot they call bokeh that you get with an L lens, this is only cheap bokeh:-)

Wow, without them side by side I'm not sure which palm leaf I like better Rod. I really like the color with this one.
Britt F 28-Nov-2005 13:04
What happened to your other palm leaf?
Paul 28-Nov-2005 09:57
This is better for my eyes than the other one. I really like the shade of green in the background and the reflections of the fronds. Is this with the pond as background or glass?
