It just doesn't seem to qualify as a close up. I have just looked at Jano's croutons (yes she showed me) which I thought was off topic from the thumbnail but upon opening the shot it's unmistakably a close up. This looks normal perspective. I suppose if Steve's coral shot is on topic then this is too.
I think this is perfectly on topic. The frame is totally full of baby chicks - cute as can be! I love it! Especially the little black ones! How cute! But I'm not the expert obviously - Im the one who's already had like 5 images commented as off topic so I would ask someone else! LOL I love this one Mary Anne! Very cute! ~Britt

Yes Mary Anne you are in the same off topic category as the other shots you mentioned, but no matter as this isn’t a life or death pursuit & all in fun. Maybe RK can elaborate as I care not.
Well, I saw kernels and lemons and croutons, so I figured baby chicks would be in the same category, no?

I don't know if filling the frame with lots of baby eagles is on topic cos we could fill the frame with lots of trees & we would have a landscape sort of. I think BB has frightened RK off from controversy so he may not comment unfavourably anymore:-)
