Thanks RK, I don't use a tripod much at all really so this is hand held & the ole kit lens is at it's best on F8 so I just leave it there for most of me shots. I wouldn't want any more depth of field on this type of shot as it would be too busy & I like the out of focus bits if they're not distracting..........................they're more romantic I think:-)

Rod, not bad for a macro shot with the kit lens. A tighter crop will definitely help this picture. I see that a flash was not used and you used a middle of the road aperture of f8 and a shutter speed less than focal length. Did you use a tripod? If yes, I would bump up the aperture.
