Well...it sounds surprisingly analogue and quite natural which is why i was attracted to it. No nasty digital ringing or harsh top end which over 90 % of the players i listened to had. The only other one that came close was a Quad which was only slightly more expensive and i would have considered if i didn't listen to a lot of rock but it lacked a real kick. Classical stuff was better on the Quad as it had great width to the soundstage but the Cyrus ticked all me squares so to speak. I was hugely dissapointed in most stuff and found it hard to beleive what nasty rubbish was classed as high end. Ear bleeding stuff most of it with the tiniest detail of a piece of music brought out and emphasised as if that was all it was about. All designed by computer programmes i think rather than music lovers.

And well Paul..........wot does it bleeding sound like then?

Thank you.

Rod, i talked to the head bloke from Denon and mentioned i knew someone with an S10 and he said they were for 'special people' "Tone deaf old buggers?" i asked. He larfed and winked at me "We just call them special people" Make of that what you will.

I got a bit of change from $300......if you were to add another 0 on the end.....Mind you it's worth it for Motorhead ain't it?

Hm, I think I'm not allowed to comment with our Pioneer stuff ;-)

It means Mozart sounds like crap through a Cyrus, but through a Denon S10 11 it sounds like Mike Oldfield. Did you buy this load of rubbish Boofhead? Still you would have got plenty of change from $300.

Hmmm...I guess, it comes from Paul...but who could translate its title? :-)
