It almost looked 3-D the way it popped out at me. Very nice capture. It must have been one of the first to go off since there doesn't seem to be much smoke around it?
What a great shot for your first time trying! You have done this most excellent! This really stands out and comp is nice as well. jano

Thanks Rod, tonight was my first attempt at fireworks. I will post a link later to my gallery, I am really pleased with how they came out. In keeping with your request I have posted another image that should meet your requirements, till my girlfriend gets hold of me - lol. - Steve

That's a nice shot Steve & the absence of smoke gives a nice clear view of the detail. But in this challenge we are going through a miserable phase shooting lonely things, & fireworks are happy crowd gatherers...........................But you're still on topic, why don't you go out & shoot something miserable mate.....I am:-)
