Thanks, Jano. The bottle glass is so thick and old, it does look like a painting - no editing. The background was built up inside the bottle with playdough, into which little wooden buildings were pressed. The boat itself is made up of wood and string which some incredibly patient man (or woman ;) slipped through the bottle neck and erected afterwards.

Ah, now the challenge bug has bitten everybody in the family! Our son was so excited about his own through-glass photo that we had to submit it. :) Oh, and just for the record, his attempt turned out better than Dad's!
