Well seen, Alexeig. It has an almost other-worldly, magical feel to it.

Well you framed this perfectly ~ it almost looks like an underground city of sorts. It's very deceptive to the eye at first glance. Nice job. It makes me proud to be 1/4 Norwegian! Hehehe.... ~Britt

As I already said: brilliant idea and execution :-) ~ Armin (ArminB)

Many thanks everybody for comments.
Armin and Abstract: I live in Trondheim, Norway. This is quite far to the North, in fact without Gulfstream the place would have been uninhabitable. We have a maritime type of climate with very changeable weather and lots of nice clouds. Besides, due to the Northern location the sun travels very low and this brings a lot of unusual lighting. This makes often nice sky shots. Then, we have lots of dull grey skies too with low clouds, but I do not shoot sky on such days

Techo: the upper part is just plain sky while the lower part is a cityscape shot through window glass which reflects the sky

Rich: we do see the cityscape through glass

ArminB: This is about 70% of original frame with levels, brightness/contrast + saturation + USM, no other "magic" involved

Markjay, these things are actually the construction stuff sitting on the top of the opposite building

Rod: you are dead on, this is exactly this type of rotating window around horisontal axis
ArminB 21-Oct-2005 08:06
WOW, this one fooled me completely. Brilliant...hm..._if_ there is no PS magic involved :-)
Scandinavia? Oh, of course, the red devil from Norway :-)
Rod 21-Oct-2005 07:10
It looks like one of those windows where the bottom half opens out thereby picking up the reflections in the sky. Armin, Alexei lives in one of those foreign countries in Scandinavia:-)

Great shot, Alexeig! Is that a window lock on the ledge of that window top pane? Or is that something we are seeing on the top of the building across the way? Very intrigueing. Markjay
ctfchallenge21-Oct-2005 00:26
It's very good Alexig but are we seeing anything through the glass or just the reflection? rich
ctfchallenge20-Oct-2005 21:51
Great crop! at first I thought this was a see through glass balcony and then what looked like two chairs in the distance but how did they get there LOL. Simple and yet makes you think but I got it at the end :)
