Adam, i like this abstract shot. keeping edge out of focus is something i wouldnt have tried. i like it though.
Armin, if my memory serves me correctly, it would be 'bay-hah' :)

A nice abstract in a creative view of a common object. To view the lighter green as blown or not blown could be a matter of taste opinion and, one can never know if the artist had that intended "look" for the iamge?

The highlight doesn't look blown on my display. I did however look at the histogram for this image and according to my understanding of how to read it, it does indicate blown highlights. I'm a novice at reading histograms, but my understanding is that the spike at the white end means that the highlights are blown. However, looking at this image, I see a gradation that never quite reaches white...and thus couldn't be blown.

Anyone able to explain?

Well, I think you don't want to know, what BH is the abbreviation for in Germany ;-))

Aha,
Yes I'm with you now - Blown Highlights! I don't think it's fully blown, but I'll take a look at it...

Jano,
It is the neck of a wine bottle ( hence the name :) ), sorry I'm not familiar with the term BH?

Adam - I'm just having a problem seeing what I am supposed to be seeing here. It's just not evident to me. *The right portion of the photo also has BH which is distracting to the eye, but the left it nice. I think it is a good attempt at something abstract, but give me a clue as to what I'm looking at :)....or at least some perpective. jano
