Thanks all for the comments. Rod, I think the bright part you are seeing is where the actual light is shining through and that was not lightened. jano

Very nice, Jano! I love the sweeping lines through the etching, they hold it all together nicely. Great detail! ~Sharon

It's me here, I didn't see the first shot so I can't say if this is better or not, but where I assume you have lightened is too light now & is drawing me eye to the right. Lovely shot though Jano. Well done.

Photo revised with selective PS lightening of the darker right side. jano

Thanks Shu - yes, I also wish the right side was better lit. I took many photos, so I'll look to see if there is one better lit. For some reason I chose this one, perhaps because of the detail. Cropping was not an option, and I really didn't mind the shadow "that much". jano

I felt a stroke of jealousy on this one, Jano. Great idea and with the blk behind it, the etch really stands out. I just wish the right side was lit a bit better, but striking as is. shu

Thanks for your kind comments - in order to show the etching better, I photographed it with a black backboard at the back. Taken in sunlight, super macro setting. jano

Jano, This is really a delicate look at etched glass and it is right through it, allowing us to see the light ( no pun intended) I like it. Yvonne

I like the detail and the picture very much, nevertheless to me it is more a
look at and not really look through glass (IMHO) ~ Armin

Jano, this is really gorgeous! Reminds me that the midwest winter is about to hit us. Very nice, delicate details! ~Britt
