9th Place
Raindrops (*)

Looking out on our deck

Decided to try using curves to increase the contrast just a bit... this is the updated version. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm not a bleeding purist me dear, it's just others think I am................I'm misunderstood:-)

Eeegads Rod...What happened to that purist we all know and love? Pulling the old curves tool when you could just bracket and find one that gives you the best density? MUahahhaha....you crack me up!

Very nice shot with a good feel. Re Britt's suggestion, a pull down on the curves tool might do.

Ann, this is nicely framed and a very nice mood for the shot. There isn't a whole lot of contrast in the BG, but that isn't necessarily bad. You might want to shoot this shot (if it rains again!) trying some exposure bracketing to pull in some more density. ~Britt

Lovely shot Ann. I also live in Washington state and the last challenge was a bit tough...with the gray days returning of late. But, for shooting through glass; wonderful! Yvonne

Ann, every time I see your pics, I can't help envying you for such a beautiful outlook. Nice pic, obviously.

The B&W depicts the dreary mood of the day, although the photo is really quite beautiful with the nice raindrops on the window. From this view, I don't think anything would be dreary though! Great shot. jano

Good shot, interesting comp and lack of color emphasizes the bad weather.
